VACANCY:

Quality Assurance & TECHNICIAN

We currently have an opportunity for a QA & Compliance Technician on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will join our Technical team in Middleton, where we produce classic British Brands alongside authentic Japanese sushi seasonings and vinegar. The role will have a strong focus on aligning structures and systems with Mizkan’s Bury St Edmonds site as well as driving world class standards across the site.

Your responsibilities:

• Management of the review & update of the QMS to comply with BRC standards - aligning structures & systems with our Bury St Edmonds site.
• Policy, Procedure & SOP review.
• Product, process mapping & monitoring expert. Responsible for process audit programme.
• RM & Packaging QMS generation and schedule of monitoring.
• Responsible for the generation and implementation of QACCP across site.
• Lab sampling-- logging and trending results nutritional / micro / chemical / allergen for investigations.
• Driving GMP and factory standards
• Driving simplification of paperwork and supporting continuation of digitalisation
• Problem resolution and route cause support
• Completion of documentation and change controls
• Problem resolution and route cause support.
• Generation of Technical/Quality training workshops.
• Delivery of Technical/Quality workshops.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Have experience working in a Technical/Quality Assurance department
• Is comfortable working in a regulated environment and the complying with the procedural processes this involves
• Have an excellent eye for detail as well as problem solving skills
• Be able to work autonomously and prioritise their own workload 
• Have an awareness of Environmental, Health and Safety and Chemical manual handling knowledge
• Upholds the two Mizkan principles of offering customers only the finest quality products and continuously challenges the status quo

Shifts:

A two-week rotation of 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm

Salary: £33,000.00 per annum inclusive of shift allowance
